If you are only registering a child, the parent will need to go to www.active.com and create an account prior to clicking the blue “Click to Register” button. This is to verify the person registering the child is 18 years of age or older and legal guardian. Once you create the account you can then click on the blue “Click to Register” button above. You will be prompted to select are you registering yourself or someone else under 18, select someone else under 18. You will then follow the step to register your child.
Welcome to Beachside Montessori Village Elementary
We are excited to host the inaugural Beachside Lions 5K supported by the PTA. Due to COVID-19 the inaugural event will be a virtual event. A virtual event allows you to participate between November 20 – December 11, 2020 at a time and location that you feel comfortable. All participants will receive a custom digital race bib, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate. We will provide a race app that will handle everything associated with the event. You will be able to track your run/walk, submit your results, view/submit event pictures, view results, receive messages from the race director, and other various features. Click the blue “Registration” button above to sign up. Registration will open on Tuesday October 27, 2020 and final day to register is November 23, 2020.
Entry Fee:
$20.00 – Adult: includes custom race bib, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate
$15.00 – Student (18 and under): includes custom race bib, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate

RESULTS:
The Beachside Lions 5K Virtual Run/Walk is excited to offer three options to submit your results.
1. We offer an event app that will track your run/walk, submit your results, view event leaderboard, view event photos, receive event messages from race director, and visit the Beachside Montessori Elementary website. Follow the steps below to use the event app.

3. If you do not wish to time yourself and are participating to show your support of Beachside Montessori Elementary, you may complete the following form. The form verifies you completed the 5K distance but do not wish to submit a completion time. You will earn your finisher medal but will not be listed on the official event leaderboard.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Do I have to run?
A: No you can run or walk the Beachside Lions 5K and your time will be counted towards the award winners. You also have the option to use any wheeled device (scooter, skateboard, bicycle, etc) to complete the 5K, you will receive the finisher medal but your completion time will not be counted towards the final results. You will submit your results via option three (above).
Q: When and how do I register for the Beachside Lions 5K?
A: Registration opens on October 27, 2020. Click the blue “Registration” at the top of the page to register.
Q: Is there a specific location I have to run/walk?
A: No, this is a virtual 5K, which means you choose the location you prefer.
Q: Is there a specific day I have to run/walk?
A: There is not a specific day. You can choose anytime between November 20 – December 11, 2020 to complete your 5K.
Q: How far is 5K?
A: 5K is equivalent to 3.1 miles.
Q: How do I track/verify my 5K?
A: We provide an event app that will track your distance and time. You will download the “Active Experience” app. Once you download the app you will choose the event “Beachside Lions 5K”
Q: How do I submit my results?
A: If you use the event app to track your 5K, the results will automatically be submitted to the event when you complete your 5K. If you do not use the event app to track your 5K, you can submit your results at https://resultscui.active.com/events/BeachsideLions5K, you will need your registration number, which is located on your confirmation email.
Q: Am I required to submit my completion time with the results?
A: No, we have a category for those who complete the 5K without submitting your time. You will earn your finisher medal but since there is no time, will not be included in the official leaderboard.
Q: Do I have to be associated with Beachside Montessori Elementary to participate?
A: No, we would love the support of everyone in the community for this fun event.
Q: When do I need to register?
A: Registration will be open from October 27, 2020. The final day to register for the event is November 23, 2020. Registration will not extend past November 23, 2020 so plan accordingly.
Q: What do I get for participating in the Beachside Lions 5K?
A: All participants will receive a custom race bib, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate.
